Brock Lesnar as the son of Ivan Drago? It’s just crazy enough to work.

Depending upon your interpretation, Sylvester Stallone, he of Rocky fame and latterly Warburtons Bread for our UK readers, may have given a big old hint that WWE’s Universal Champion is set for a surprise turn on the silver screen in the upcoming Creed 2.

An Instagram post from the Expendables star on Monday afternoon invoked a flood of rumours that Lesnar could become part of Rocky lore as the offspring of the Russian behemoth deposed of in Rocky IV.

The tone of Stallone’s post isn’t exactly clear. The second and final sentence, with its ellipsis leading into #brocklesnar, could be tinged with sarcasm. In short, Stallone could be trolling a decent portion of the world’s population right now. Either way, it has people talking and buzzing.

If Brock Lesnar were to play the vengeful son of Drago it would be the former UFC and WWE champion’s first foray into Hollywood.

While he looks the part, many would preach caution in giving Lesnar a speaking role. A man of few words and unconvincing promos, he is best doing what he usually does: letting his sheer physicality do the talking.
