Lead paint is a rare resource in Breathedge that’s required to make it through the story. It doesn’t spawn that commonly, but it can be crafted after you find it for the first time.

From your ship, travel to the far left until you arrive at what looks like a paint explosion amidst some wreckage. You will probably need to take Oxygen Candles with you to survive this journey.

You should notice a safe that requires verification to open it. You have the option to use the chicken, but there’s an eye in particular that you will need.

Continue slightly on and then venture downwards to find more wreckage, amidst which you should be able to find a corpse. You can pluck the Smuggler’s Eye from this corpse and then use it on the safe to get the lead paint blueprint.

As you might have guessed, you need both lead and paint to create lead paint in Breathedge. Getting them both is a little tricky as they are so far away, so you will definitely need to increase your max oxygen and also have crafted an Oxygen Station before attempting this. You should also probably bring one or two Oxygen Candles with you, just to be safe.

Even further on from where you found the blueprint, you will see giant hull with an equally giant amount of paint flowing out of it — this is where you need to go. Place your Oxygen Station halfway between your home and this location so you are able to refill your oxygen. Venture inside and fill up on paint from the big tanks, and then smash the lead plate balls with your Handy Scrapper to collect lead.

Take these back to your Processor and then use them to create lead paint, which is a vital resource for crafting the Enhanced Spacesuit and Helmet, two pieces of equipment that are needed to reduce radiation and progress to Chapter 2.

Breathedge is available now on PC.
