Beat Saber Comes To PSVR This November

One of the most popular VR rhthym games since the medium took off is finally coming to PlayStation VR, Sony and Beat Games have announced. The long-awaited console version will land on November 20th.

Players will need their PS Move controllers to play Beat Saber on PSVR, though this shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s seen the Darth Maul madness PC VR players get up to with the game. For the uninitiated, Beat Saber is not a million miles away from Guitar Hero in that symbols come towards the screen but you have to gesture in VR to hit them instead of using a peripheral. It’s nuts.

Beat Games also confirmed that Beat Saber will be getting some PSVR exclusives:

A challenging campaign – Improve your game style every day by completing levels in our complex campaign, exclusively created for PS VR.

Exclusive new songs – Everyone loves Beat Saber’s original game soundtrack. That’s why we bring you, above our well-know music hits, five new exclusive songs from excellent electronic dance music artists and talents from around the world.

Beat Games also announced that the game will be getting an expansion pack DLC after release, though did not share details other than that it will be ten songs from different genres.

I’ve been waiting on this one for a while, so I can’t wait to see how it stacks up against the other best PSVR games. My only concern is how such a frenetic game will deal with the PSVR’s infamous tracking issues. If it makes me less fat by making me exercise, I am all for it.
