Tell rock n roll to drink a lot of lemonade, sunbathe on an inner city roof and fall in love with the girl next door, and you might find you’ve created 1955. Vocalist Sasha Papadin exudes the spirit, swagger and charm of any rock singer, but there’s a lighthearted playfulness in ‘How’d You Come Here’.

Shimmering keys – that notably match Papadin’s outfit – embellish the track as it swirls along to its four minute close. The first listen will have the hook burnt into your brain, the second will have you wanting to twirl in the street to the happy-go-lucky melodies that dawdle through. It’s a wonder the track wasn’t lifted straight from the (500) Days of Summer soundtrack.

Sunny San Francisco can be taken to anywhere in a four minute snatch, 1955 prove it.
