Mass Effect: Andromeda Not Coming to Nintendo Switch (For Now)

Despite the Switch almost definitely not being able to handle such an expansive game, that hasn’t stopped fans from clamouring for it on the yet to be released console.

Bioware recently confirmed as such, saying that it doesn’t have plans to port it to Nintendo’s new system, but if the demand is there, they will find some way of making it happen.

Speaking to Stevivor, Andromeda’s producer Michael Gamble said:

“We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that.”

The buzz all came about because EA claimed last year that they would be bringing one of their bigger titles to the Switch. As speculation abounded, a lot of fingers were pointed towards the new Mass Effect. Now that we know it isn’t happening (at least for now), let’s all just calm down a bit and accept that it will probably be the Need For Speed reboot.

There’s nothing concrete to report about the Switch, though we do have a presentation to look forward to on the 13th. We do have plenty on Mass Effect: Andromeda, though, especially after N7 Day.
