Halloween Kills Teaser: Town Takes On Michael Myers

Michael Myers is back, but he won't be fully back on our screens till next year.

Since it’s Halloween, Blumhouse decided to release a teaser for Halloween Kills, where our favourite masked killer is once again back on the streets and slashing his way through things. Halloween Kills is a follow-up to 2018’s Halloween, which is a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original Halloween, basically rebooting the franchise.

According to one of the writers Danny McBride, the sequel takes place on the same night from 2018’s Halloween. He said: “Events in the film bring together a lot of characters who were in the 1978 film who we didn’t see last time. They gather to try, once and for all, to take down Michael, to stop this madman.”

Who’s Involved?

David Gordon Green returns to direct and co-write Halloween Kills, with co-writers Danny McBride and Scott Teems. Halloween Kills is the first of two sequels that Green is directing, with Halloween Ends also in the works. While the plan was to shoot both Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends together, the pandemic caused a slight disruption to said plans. Don’t worry, Halloween Ends is still happening.

Jamie Lee Curtis is back as Laurie Strode, with Judy Greer and Andi Matichak resuming their roles from the previous film. Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, Charles Cyphers, Anthony Michael Hall, and Robert Longstreet are a part of the ensemble, with the story bringing back characters from the 1978 film as adult versions.

While we were hoping to see it this year, Halloween Kills will only be released October 15, 2021.
