Shoresy is a Canadian TV comedy created by Jared Keeso. A spinoff of the hit sitcom Letterkenny, the show follows the character Shoresy (played by Keeso) as he leaves Letterkenny to go to Sudbury and work to restore the reputation of the local hockey team, the Sudbury Bulldogs.
The first season premiered in May of 2022 on the streaming site Hulu, and was very well received, both by fans and critics alike. One particular point of praise directed towards Shoresy: Season 1 was that it had all the comedy of its predecessor while having a much more linear plot. With such strong feedback, many who have followed the show will be eager to learn about the status of Shoresy: Season 2.
When Is Shoresy: Season 2 Coming Out?
Fans of the first season will be pleased to learn that Shoresy is officially getting a follow-up season. While there is no news about a release date for Shoresy: Season 2, Hulu confirmed on Twitter that the Sudbury Bulldogs will be returning, and the new season is in production with this photo coming from the Shoresy Twitter account.
According to the same account, Shoresy: Season 2 is due to air at some point in 2023. It will have the same format as Shoresy: Season 1, with six episodes each expected to have a runtime of about thirty minutes. Shoresy will stream on Hulu and Crave for Canadian viewers.
Will the Cast Return for Shoresy: Season 2?
Much of the original cast in Shoresy: Season 1 will be returning for the next instalment. As well as the show’s creator, executive producer and writer, Keeso will return to his role as the titular main character.
Among the returning cast are notable names both within the television industry and the Canadian hockey scene, such as Tasya Teles as Nat, the general manager of the Sudbury Bulldogs, and Jon Mirasty, Brandon Nolan, and Jordan Nolan starring as the three Jims, who are just some of the members of the team. The second season may also feature familiar faces for Letterkenny fans, though this is mostly speculative at this point.
What Could Shoresy: Season 2 Be About?
Shoresy: Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, with the Sudbury Bulldogs going up against their rivals, the Soo Cyclones, and the final outcome of the game left on an ambiguous note. Considering the show hinges on a bet that Shoresy made with Nat to save the team from being shut down, the second season will likely focus on the consequences of this game and what it means for the future of the Bulldogs. While it is doubtful that this will be the end of the team, what will happen to them and what new challenges will Shoresy face to keep the Bulldogs together?
