Rogue One: People Are Mad Star Wars Has Another Female Lead

Rogue One female lead backlash

If you haven’t watched the Rogue One trailer yet, you’re either dead or live somewhere untouched by the internet, which means that you won’t actually even be able to read this right now. Nevermind that badly thought-out joke, we have some fanboy outrage to contend with.

Back when The Force Awakens released (and doesn’t that feel so long ago now?), it was certainly divisive. Some were mad that it was just a snazzier remake of A New Hope, others that it just cashed in on nostalgia. There was even a contingent of people upset that the film was carried by a woman.

Looks like the latter have even more to complain about now: the lead in Rogue One is also a woman by the name of Jyn. In a film series that, no matter how you look at it, is just kind of silly, it’s amazing that people are annoyed by something as trivial as what a main character has between their legs.

Here are some of the most overblown comments so far:

I want to turn these comments into a liquid and drink them, although I have to be careful with how much. My doctor told me to watch my sodium intake.
