Core Pokemon RPG Game in Development For Nintendo Switch
But you're going to have to be patient for it.
The Nintendo Switch is getting a Pokemon game sometime between 2018 and 2019.
Game Freak is developing what Tsunekazu Ishihara calls “a core RPG Pokemon game”. Game Freak is responsible for every portable installment of the Pokémon franchise, so to think of these games finding a home in the living room is a major step. Obviously, the Switch offers a portable option.
The first few Pokémon console games following Red and Blue were Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Stadium for the N64.
In the meantime, Switch owners can look forward to September 22nd when Pokkén Tournament Deluxe releases. This game is more akin to Pokémon Stadium but with a Tekken flavor. Pokkén DX will also be available on the Wii U.
