Good news for fans of the caped crusader as the greatly anticipated solo Batman film starring Ben Affleck has been promised to hit cinemas sooner than some may of expected.

During an investor call (audio can be found here) Time Warner CEO and chairman Jeff Bewkes gave us an update on Affleck’s upcoming project. According to Bewkes…

“Ben (Affleck) announced a Batman movie. He’s going to direct, star, write. I think it’s a year and a half out”.

If Bewkes speaks truth this means fans can expect the film to arrive by March 2018 meaning that production will  have to start pretty soon. Even if Bewkes was only implying that production will begin in 2018 that may mean that the untitled DC project scheduled to release on November 1st 2019 might very well be Ben Affleck’s Batman movie.

Either way, thanks to information we now have a much better understanding of when and what to expect in regards to DC and the future of their most beloved character.
