Chewbacca and Some Lizard Dude Are Coming to Star Wars Battlefront

Chewbacca Battlefront

To tie in nicely with Star Wars Celebration, DICE has revealed the two new heroes coming up for Star Wars Battlefront in the new Death Star DLC. In typical Battlefront fashion, they’re hit and miss. One is Chewbacca, a character fans have been crying out for for ages, the other is Bossk: one of those throwaway bounty hunters that we saw a combined thirty seconds of in the original movies.

If you’re a season pass holder, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Death Star DLC as early as September. The DLC will not only come with new maps and Heroes, but will also have new Star Cards and weapons. As good as it is to see Chewie back in a Star Wars game, he arguably should have been included with the base game, along with all the other heroes and maps.

The reveal came during a panel at Star Wars Celebration where a brief trailer showing space combat that had plenty of people excited. It hasn’t made its way online yet, but expect it to before too long. The new Skirmish mode will also come in the future, but details are sparing.

That hasn’t stopped 14 million people from buying the game, though. EA and DICE are working on a sequel, along with plenty of other Star Wars games from other developers.
