Single of the Week: FKJ – Go Back Home

FKJ doesn’t want to go back home, and we don’t want to stop listening to him singing about it, but needs must. Vincent Fenton/FKJ/Frech Kiwi Juice’ started out working as a sound engineer for cinemas before making the move into the Paris house music scene. Describing his music as house would be a bit derivative, though, it’s a healthy blend of funk, RnB, hip-hop and whatever else he feels like chucking in, which can vary a lot considering that he’s an accomplished singer, bassist, saxophonist and pianist, and those are only the ones I know about.

His first LP is allegedly in the works, and this relaxed anthem to staying out all night is the first single to be released. It’s just as warm and bop-friendly as his other work, and further cements his position as one of the biggest names to watch in French dance music.
