You complained, they listened – the second weekend of Titanfall 2’s pre-Alpha tech test is now live and includes some of the features you were all crying out for. It now plays a lot more like the original game.
Although people were playing Titanfall 2 last weekend in high numbers, the player base was probably matched by the amount of negative comments left on comments sections around the world. People hated it as it was too different from the original, slower, and more like CoD than Titanfall (supposedly).
After noticing the same complaints cropping up, Respawn Entertainment decided to fiddle with the game by making Titanfalls much quicker and making player movement slightly faster. It’s a noticeable improvement in all honest, as much as I defended the game as it previously was.
Unluckily for Respawn, the “relaunch” of the tech test happened to coincide with the PlayStation Network going down for maintenance, causing plenty of angry tweets to come their way. They reacted as only a company can these days: with a meme.
