Red Dwarf XI Start Date Announced

Red Dwarf

The latest series of Red Dwarf will start on 22nd September, at 9pm, on the Dave TV channel.

The new outing from the boys from the Dwarf will be third instalment since the classic sitcom was revived by the channel, after the first eight series aired on the BBC.

Whilst all four principal crew-members (Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn) are involved, it seems again there is no place for any version of senile computer Holly (played by Norman Lovett and Hattie Hayridge) or Kristine Kochanski (played primarily by Chloë Annett).

Following the muted response to the the final two series on the BBC, and the Dave-commissioned“Back to Earth” mini-series, Red Dwarf X was met with a much more positive response, with many identifying it as somewhat of a return to form.

So, fan expectations will be high, and it seems Dave are also confident in the appeal of the show, having already filmed another six episodes for Red Dwarf XII, scheduled for a 2017 release.
