Overwatch’s Roadhog is Getting Nerfed, The Filthy Hooker

NERF Roadhog

When going up against a Roadhog in Overwatch, you never really know what you’re getting, especially when you consider how easy it is for players to “game” his glitches.

Ahead of an update on the PTR in the near future, game designer Geoff Goodman discussed what they’re going to do about it on the game’s official forums.

Roadhog mains, you may want to look away now:

“The hook victim will now move in to the position directly in front of Roadhog, rather than just a straight line towards him. There is a cap on how far ‘to the side’ you can be pulled, so you can’t just hook someone, spin 180, and dump someone off a cliff.”

Roadhog will no longer be able to hook another player that isn’t directly visible to him, which means the annoying wall bug that never lets you to stay safe should be a thing of the past.

Overwatch is due for a big 2017 after a massive 2016, a year in which it was released and then snapped up almost every award you can think of. We gave it a positive review and a deserved spot in our best games of 2016 countdown, owing a lot to the community communication from its developers.
