With Christmas fast approaching (yes, your life is fleeting), you could be forgiven for wanting to sacrifice buying a new game to be able to afford presents. Well, luckily for Xbox One and 360 owners who are signed up to Xbox Live Gold, you have a few games to tide you over for free.
Technically speaking, they aren’t really free – you will still need to be a paid subscriber to be eligible. But hey, it goes some way towards justifying the price, right?
Here’s what you have to look forward to.

Super Dungeon Bros. (November 1-30)
A brand new title, this looks decent enough, but might not appease the moaners who deride the line-ups each month without fail. Still, one to look out for.
Murdered: Soul Suspect (November 16-December 15)
Habitual suitor of bargain bins, Murdered: Soul Suspect certainly doesn’t deserve that status. Sure, it’s no masterpiece, but it deserves better than it got. Certainly worth a download.
Xbox 360
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (November 1-15)
The all-time classic’s bells and whistles edition is a must-play for anyone not familiar with the series. Point-and-click has arguably never been better.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (November 16-30)
The best game with Michael Biehn and laser dinosaurs you will every play.
