Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, the sequel to the well-received Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was announced today at Playstation Experience 2016.
Although few details were revealed, the announcement trailer suggests that players will assume the role of Evan, King of Ding Dong Dell, a half human, half feline character. Level-5 will be continuing to make use of Studio Ghibli-inspired graphics, with the trailer also showing off a vast array of colourful and eccentric characters.
Story-wise, after being displaced from his throne, it appears that Evan must set out to recruit followers and establish a new Kingdom. It is unclear as to whether familiars will return, however unlike the previous title, it appears that the main character favours a much more melee-based approach to combat.
