Apparently nobody could wait till next Friday to go out. I guess we all kind of worked out that we haven’t actually been able to find any time for each other for a few months now, works been really unforgiving for almost everyone. Like I said, pretty much since the Washington incident (Christ, even i’m calling it an “incident” now), most places have gone into overdrive. Its been almost impossible to get any time off.

It was good tonight, there are some really nice places in San Francisco that you kind of forget exist. You could walk down a street a hundred times and not see the most amazing bar on the other side of the road due to the smog. It was great being out with such a big group this evening, as everyone knew somewhere different that they’d found since the last time we hung out. It was like everyone was eager to show off their discoveries from the months that we’d not seen each other. I don’t think i’ve been to so many bars and clubs in one night since just after high school.

Nobodies heard off you since last night, but Yvonne, we hope that C.P officer got you home alright. You were pretty fucked up by the time we got to Ten Fifteen Folsom. Hope you didn’t mind us bundling you into a patrol car, but i don’t think any of us were at all capable of getting you home ourselves. As sober as me and Kris were, any sense of direction kind of disappears in the smog after dark.

Guess the one other thing I can pick out from yesterday evening is how much everybody has changed since the last time any of us went out for drinks. The styles, the music, the people have all changed. I felt like I was the oldest person in half the bars we went to, and I can’t understand what some of the younger kids are wearing these days. They put up a lot of columns about a “Mid-20s crisis” these days, I didn’t actually believe that was a real thing until last night. I definitely can’t see myself going out every week, I can’t imagine how I used to do it.

Regardless, things are good. I’m in a good place right now.
