Fans of the fearlessly brutal 2014 action/thriller John Wick will no doubt already be aware that a sequel has been in the pipeline for some months now. However, after a long patient wait, we are finally being treated to a pair of promotional images that should be just enough to satisfy fans for now.
Lionsgate Summit Entertainment released the two photos from the upcoming John Wick Chapter 2 today and have additionally promised a special panel at the New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 8th where hopefully even more details will be released and maybe even a teaser trailer. Until Saturday however, these images are all we have to make guesses on what to expect from the second instalment in the franchise.
From what the photos show, not only is Keanu Reeves returning in the part of the dapper anti hero, but miraculously the beloved pitbull puppy that John Wick picked up at the end of the first film will also be appearing alongside him. Also returning for the sequel is director Chad Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad – the pair responsible for the original success in 2014 so expectations will be high for the return of cinemas new favourite assassin.
John Wick: Chapter 2 opens on February 10, 2017.
