Ghostbusters Theme Song Revealed, You Should Be Very Afraid

Ghostbusters theme song

So, the new Ghostbusters film has released its version of the original theme song, and like everything else about this reboot, it doesn’t fail to disappoint.

Loosely based on the Ray Parker Jr. song for the original movie, this “cover” (for lack of a better word) is like the world’s worst remix.

Fallout Boy and Missy Elliot is not a bad combination if you want to write a catchy, radio-friendly song, but something has gone terribly wrong. If they’d just done a straight-up cover (with a rap verse), it would at least have been vaguely listenable. This is just excruciating.

Of course, whatever was released would have automatically attracted some backlash (regardless of quality), but this feels like straight up trolling.

And honestly, at this point, it may well be.

Still, Ghostbusters hasn’t been released so we can’t comment on the quality of the film. But yet again, the signs are not good.
