65daysofstatic Are Producing the Score For No Man’s Sky

The news surrounding the upcoming, massive space-exploartion game No Man’s Sky just seems to keep getting better. We were gifted with a whole new trailer including ‘portal’ gameplay during the Video Game Awards, coupled with the announcement that electronic/post-rock heavyweights 65daysofstatic had been drafted to do the music. According to a post on their official website, the band are currently in Vegas starting the writing/recording process. It’s a very good fit, 65’s music has always had something of a futurist twinge to it and their 2011 album Silent Running was meant as an alternative soundtrack to the 1971 sci-fi film of same name. Their music has already been used for all the trailers that have been released thus far, but the official announcement that they would be doing a complete score only just dropped. They even played live at the VGAs.

Check out the shiny new trailer, complete with ‘Supermoon’, 65’s latest piece of scoring for the game.
